So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves.
Here's an idea, next time you have a decision to make, why not allow the Holy Spirit to lead you to the correct answer by asking Him for help and understanding? How else can He help us if we don't stop for a moment and ask Him? This would truly keep us from rationalizing what we think is right, which is one of our problems. Remember Proverbs 3:5 & 6, the part that tells us not to "lean on our own understanding". Let's give the Holy Spirit a chance and see if our lives will be better for it.
